"Sew What, Michelle" is a division of Fryeburg Motors operated by founding partner Michelle Meltzer. Prior to formalizing our car business, Michelle was self employed as a designer and producer of high end window treatments, upholstery & slip covers, and even custom wedding gowns. A natural outgrowth of this skill is fabricating the many aspects of the interior or accessory of a car, truck, boat, or aircraft. Custom embroidery can also be added for a personal touch such as an aircraft tail number to an aircraft seat cover, the boat name to a mooring cover, or make/model to auto upholstery. How about a matching embroidered shirt or hat to compliment your new interior? More information: sewwhatmichelle.squarespace.com/
Below are a few examples, including a winter insulated cowl cover for a Piper Archer, a bench seat that had frayed areas where the driver slid out of the vehicle and repaired with vinyl which was also used to break up the expanse of original material, a custom seat cover (before & after) from a Buick wagon designed to look like the original and protect the seat from the family dog, custom upholstered seat and door panels in a classic Dodge pickup and a 1957 Jeep Forward Control, a boat seat (before & after) matching the existing design & color scheme, the complete interior of a restored antique Chris-Craft boat, a pontoon boat cover, the repaired bolster of a truck seat, a reupholstered couch (dark red - before / dark teal - after), and a custom sailboat cover. Nearly anything you can think of that can be produced from cloth, vinyl, or leather from small projects to complete custom interiors is possible, just ask.
